33 Bible Verses To Remember That Will Help You Control Your Temper!

We can feel a lot of emotions at once as human beings. Anger or wrath is one of them. It’s associated with uncontrolled feelings of bitterness, rage, anger, or even hatred. It is one of the seven deadly sins, according to the Word of God, which means it produces only death, not life. When we are hot-tempered in some situations, we notice afterward, that we use harsh words, loud voices, malice, or slander. We sin with tongue and with deeds. But if we look at God and what He thinks about our wrath, we will find that God Who gave everything to have us in His peace and love, desires us to be free from all bitterness in our hearts.

To feel Him closer we need to let go of all anger, brawling, and slander because God’s presence is the source that keeps us alive. Getting rid of all these sins, will help us become a better version of ourselves.

Anger does not produce the righteousness that God demands. If we are easily angered or irritated, we must repent for our quick temper, harsh words, or deed. We should denounce or condemn all forms of malice, slander, or rage.

We need to ask the Holy Spirit to open our eyes to see where is the root of our anger and where is the wound that’s still deep and open, and hurts so much.

Who do we need to forgive and do we need acceptance of God’s forgiveness and Love again, in order to forgive ourselves?

We shall notice that nothing is possible without God, because He is the Only One Who is ABLE to change or produce a change in us.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; APART FROM ME you can do nothing.
– John 15:5

We just need to understand why and what is happening; in other words, we need to hear His voice and His revelations about how He will guide us into changing and renewing our minds to think as He desires.

Self-control or control over these types of emotions is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Those who pray will find the Face of God and heal from the deepest wounds in their lives. At Bloogit, we have composed the top list of Bible verses about anger below. May it help you grow closer to the heart, the holiness, the forgiveness, and the righteousness of God Jesus Christ.

Remember:
Jesus Christ always loves you! And His Holy Spirit is here to help you get through it.

A Prayer To God The Father In Jesus’s Name! Fight The Good Fight!

Father God, I come in the Name of Jesus, before Your Throne of grace and mercy to seek help, favor, grace, and mercy in a time of need.

I need Your help, Lord, I need Your supernatural power, when temptations come;

I need You to help me pass every test that’s on my path, so that I can stand without being disappointed, feeling guilty, condemned, or even depressed with thoughts like “I can’t do anything,” or “I am no good.”

Help me, Father, to get up, when I’m down. I need You, Jesus, to fight and defeat the battle within me, for only with You is everything possible.

Jesus, You are the High priest, please intercede for me, to beat the anger as I proclaim the Word of Yours as a legal right and my weapon against this enemy.

I submit my flesh into the obedience to the Word of Yours, God.

Help me to remain calm in situations that may anger me, and put angels around my mouth and tongue, that I may not sin before You. Help me in overcoming it.

May You change my thoughts and attitude toward anger even before it comes so that I can be ready. When it happens, it’s like a burning fire, O Lord, and I’m too weak to fight it. I can burst from the inside, and I don’t know how to calm myself or think in those moments.

Sometimes, O lord, I can see in the spiritual realm, that the anger I am feeling is because I am sensing the provocation from the devil through those who are not firm in the faith, or even through my closest friends.

It’s hard, o Lord. Help me know how to deal with it. Prepare me before another attack comes and help me speak the Word of Yours through my mouth rather than my own opinions and words.

For the fight is not against people but against the spiritual beings, principalities, and the forces of darkness.

With you, I can conquer everything and be above every enemy of mine.

As a boxer fighter who trains not only the body but also the soul and mind, I am asking you to bless and water the seeds that I am sowing inside so that they will flourish with no one to be able to uproot them.

Build my character, I ask, O Father. Train me in Your Word, because it’s the only thing that will keep me still throughout any battle with the enemy.

As I proclaim Your Word, may it be like rain that falls from the sky that waters the field, never returning unless it accomplishes its purpose.

I seek Your mercy and Your intercession for me:

Father, You are kind and gracious, slow to wrath, and abundant in mercy.
You are the God who is compassionate and You are the Truth. (Psalms 86:15, Psalms 103:8)

I am asking You, to help me not get angry, because he that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city. (Proverbs 16:32)

Give me the grace to not be hasty in my spirit or be angry: for anger rests in the bosom of fools. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Help me be slow to wrath because it indicated that I am of a great understanding: for the one who is hasty of spirit exalts folly. (Proverbs 14:29)

Even if I get angry, help me not sin. Let not the sun go down upon my wrath: Neither to give place to the devil, in my life.

Protect my mouth so that no corrupt communication might proceed out of it, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Help me please to not grieve the Holy Spirit of Yours, with Whom You have sealed me unto the day of redemption.

May all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from me, with all malice.

And I am asking You to shape me to be kind to others, tenderhearted, and forgiving others, just as You, o God for Christ’s sake forgave me. (Ephesians 4:26-32)

Help me to, depart from evil, and do good; to seek peace, and pursue it; to cease from anger, and forsake wrath. (Psalms 34:14)

May the words of my mouth be soft answers that turn away wrath. Let not grievous words come out of me because they can only stir up anger. (Proverbs 15:1)

Help me calm the lusts that war within my members, so that I might not fight and quarrel with others. (James 4:1)

Help me, follow righteousness, faith, charity, and peace, with those that call on the Name of Jesus out of a pure heart. (2 Timothy 2:22)

Help me not to be angry with anyone, neither my closest ones, nor brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, nor toward myself.

For I have seen that where there is anger, there is suffering and a deep, unhealed wound behind the anger, and where there is such a wound, there is self-hatred.

That’s why I am asking you to help me see myself in the likeness of Yours, God, in the likeness of Jesus Christ and to hear what You think of me.

Speak to me, daily, how precious, valuable, cherished and beloved I am to you in Christ Jesus.

Help me accept that love for myself just as You have beloved me. (John 3:16)

Your Love is both a shield and a fortress of safety for me.

I will not be afraid at any time of the day or the night.

And even if the enemy raises like a flood, You will raise a standard against him and help me stand firm with Your Word as a conquering sword. (Isaiah 59:19)

I also need Your protection against wicked people or those sent by the adversary to provoke or harm me.

Protect me for I do not know who is who. Help me to not make friends with an angry man, and to not go with a furious man, but to delight in the Law of Yours and find Joy in Your Decrees. (Psalm 1)

I declare, If any tongue rises against me shall be condemned and no weapon formed against me shall prosper, in Jesus Mighty Name. (Isaiah 54:17)

So God, people who serve satan and pray against me, I am sending them right away into your heavenly court, and I am calling on Your Word, which declares, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay,” says the Lord’.

Because You, my God, are angry with the wicked every day, therefore You will repay. Their weapons will not prosper against me. (Romans 12:19)

And Father, bless me, with thankfulness and with the peace of Yours, o God, to rule in my heart and mind. (Colossians 3:15)

I trust and believe in You, that You will do exceedingly abundantly more than I could ever ask or pray for. (Ephesians 3:20,21)

Thank You, Lord. Hallelujah!

In Jesus’ Name I pray! Amen!
