Starting A Blog In 2023
Everybody is talking about it, so let’s begin.
From 2009 blogging had a unique way of presenting things in a much different light.
It used to be just writing, back in the day. But it soon began to be a way of making money from the comfort of your home.
That’s why many, if not all, are eager to know what is going on. And how can I upgrade to making my blog a full-time job? How to start a blog in 2023?
Well, it’s real, and more than possible! All you need are a few directions.

How To Start A Blog?
Starting a blog is easy! It’s easier than you think. But if you are like me and want to plan before starting a blog here are some tips:
Think about what you want to write
We have a ton of free content available, which is ideal for exploring to find what you are looking for in your niche.
It’s acceptable to read other people’s work and it’s even more acceptable if what you are reading inspires you to write something of your own.
People’s ideas will bring your more ideas.
Quality Matters Over Quantity
It takes a bit more time to do your research and provide valuable content, but your readers will appreciate and recognize it if you do.
For a start, you may get fresh ideas and SEO-friendly blog post titles with the aid of ChatGPT, a free open AI.
As you will dive into the things you love and want to write about – the next step is…
Start Writing, Than Find Your Niche
That was my way of doing it.
If you are interested in so many topics and you want to research them deeper, and then write about them, I would say to you – go for it!
Just give yourself some time to think about it, explore your options, and dive into your imagination of possibilities.
Many suggest “finding your niche and then starting writing”, but they don’t mention that after many years of blogging, they are also considering changing the direction of their niche.
So they end up with a travel-oriented website but talk about completely different topics like finances and technology.
What I will suggest to you, and I know you would love it, is to find a name for your niche that’s more abstract yet not defined. Why? Because that’s how, by starting a blog this way, you can write for every topic you love and you won’t have to worry if you decide to move to a different one in the future.
Like my blog bloogit.com, that’s abstract yet not too long, so that it will be easily remembered.
I can write about whatever I want on my blog, and as time goes on, I can discover which topics I enjoy writing about the most.
Because blogging should ultimately be something you LOVE doing and are enthusiastic about writing about.
As Julie Child would say:
Find something you are passionate about and keep tremendously interested in it
Let’s Talk About Audience
Many say “it’s about the audience” that you are providing content to make so much traffic, “it’s about them not you”…
Yeah, it’s about serving people, and helping them, but the whole process of writing is done by you.
So don’t forget the main thing that will make this whole picture ideal – is how you enjoyed and poured out your passion into writing about the topic.
It’s good to help people, to provide them with good information, and by doing it, your traffic will grow. And you will start making money from home.
But also, If you love what you do, everything will get into its place. Ain’t that right?
A website should have its own individuality. If you express the beauty of your heart in everything you write and say, it will stand out because people need real examples with feelings and passion.
People need to hear the heartbeat of the author, and even sometimes their wounds!
Love what you do, and the money will follow
Even if your website is purely commercial, it is about you, your creativity, your heart, your unique thoughts, your background, and your beauty as reflected in the tale you tell.
The things that people want to see in your work are authenticity, honesty, and a vibrant personality.
Listen To Other Bloggers, And What They Did
It’s beneficial to learn how to start a blog by paying attention to other bloggers and what they did to succeed.
Or, allow me to emphasize it again:
It’s crucial to have knowledge of how the internet functions if you want to start a blog and earn money from it.
A lot of people are signing up for online courses offered by Udemy and Coursera, and a lot of people are taking online training classes for digital marketing and social media marketing.
Some are reading books to get more detailed information.
One of the ways to get started is with WordPress – the biggest website platform for bloggers to write about their ideas, and make money from home.
You need a landing page, such as one from Bluehost or Godaddy, in order to have a WordPress blog.
This is simply my recommendation to you to get you started. I suggest that you start with godaddy.com since it offers excellent costs for hosting and domains.
Search for your domain at godaddy.com/domain or domain.google.com.
See what you can find by looking into your alternatives.
What About Insecurities?
In the beginning, you have to be gentle with yourself when it comes to achievements and huge goals.
It’s better to do it slowly but securely.
When I started bloogit.com, I set myself two weeks to do nothing but study and make notes on the stories, ideas, and everything else that would make my heartbeat faster.
I was in the stage of exploring the beauty of blogging, and I was so excited to start a blog.
I believe that’s what God called me to do, and I felt strongly that this is my way of making money from home.
In 2023, there are several options to earn money from home, including:
The most well-known method – affiliate marketing.
Read More About Advertising Networks and What they are, HERE.
Furthermore, what matters is how you place your affiliate links and advertisements on your blog.
Placing them on blog articles is and should be a form of art in and of itself.
Please keep this in mind!
It’s not about how much advertising you have on your site; it’s about how accurately they are placed so they don’t choke people.
Paying attention to that is critical, and doing so will demonstrate your care for your readers.
I once came upon a blog post written by a stay-at-home mom that discussed affiliate links and ways to earn income.
I was intrigued to see what she wrote, but when I arrived there, it seemed like all of these advertisements were strangling me, and it felt as if I had entered a labyrinth rather than a website.
My first thought was that I would never return there.
To be honest, I understand her and everyone else who wants to earn money quickly, but it’s about building long-term relationships with real people about whom you care.
You want people to come back again.
So placing advertising is excellent, but placing them correctly is much better.
And the objective of writing is to communicate love. Please keep that in mind too.
One day it will pay off, especially when your readers start writing you emails of how you inspired them and helped them with your advises and tips, and how well it served them.
It’s wonderful when they write you their stories by opening their hearts and how they feel – it’s a beauty beyond description.
Remember: when writing your blog, you must have your own voice, which will set your site apart from the crowd. That’s what I want you to believe.
Should I Start A Blog?
Writing will benefit and influence others even years after you publish your post.
Writing every day is an excellent habit to develop. Consistency is something I wholeheartedly encourage you to do.
It’s wonderful to do your research, read other bloggers’ posts, find themes that interest you, and feel inspired in your heart to write about them!
Remember that what you write will have a large impact on others, similar to the butterfly effect.
The butterfly effect is the concept that little, seemingly insignificant occurrences may lead to far greater outcomes – in other words, they have non-linear effects on highly complex systems.
Watch videos, read more blog posts, make notes on what you like while reading them, then open a new word document and write it all down.
It’s all about having fun and enjoying yourself while blogging.
And to answer your question should you start a blog?
I’ll say go for it! Try your best and see how things work out for you!
Trust me you will do great!
